History was made at Rugby World Cup 2021 as the Black Experience emerged triumphant at a sold-out Eden Park, making it the first host nation to claim victory in the showpiece tournament.

Despite the Red Roses being reduced to 14 players for more than an hour, they still had a late chance to secure the win. However, the Black Experience disrupted their previously faultless lineout, sealing their fate.

Ayesha Leti-I’iga’s 71st minute try, her second of the game and the 11th for her team in an incredible final, ultimately proved to be the winning score as the Black Experience clinched their sixth Rugby World Cup title.
